It’s not possible to know a priori the precise number of hair that we can transplant because it depends on the condition of the donor area so it is variable from subject to subject.
After how long is it possible to see a definitive result?
Transplanted hair grow with different timing. It depends on the life cycle of the hair in the extraction taking. The bulbs in the telogen and catagen phase are the first who will fall and they get off to the new growth after 4-6 month. The bulbs in tardive anagen phase before falling down, pass through a catagen and a telogen phase and they will grow again after 6-9 month. On the other hand the bulbs, in the initial anagen phase, can continue their life cycle without fall down. A significant aesthetic result will be visible after 6 months.
Can transplanted hair fall again?
The follicular units extracted from the donor area (back or lateral) have the specific genetic characteristic that they’ re not negatively influenced by the DHT hormone, which is responsable for the androgenetic alopecia. We can assert that transplanted hair will not fall in the future and the result that people can have is definitely permanent.

No, they don’t. There will not be any scar because in the extraction phase we use high technology instrumentation, then it’s necessary to say that the prior purpose is to create a uniform distribution of the hair, extracting them from the areas where they’re numerically more.
Is it necessary a particolar caution for my hair after the transplant?
In the periods after the hair transplant the patient has to follow some simple post-operative indications. In particular it’s important to take medications in order to avoid infections, then some behavioral precautions can optimize the time and the quality of the healing.

The transplant post-operative pain is feeble or absent because the operation doesn’t need the incision of the hair scalp; the topical anesthetic we use then has an extended analgesic effect for the first hours after the surgery.
